Camberley and District Stamp Club Club Logo
The Penny Black issued on May 6th 1840         J65 The Camberley Postmark in
the  19th Century.
Now the club's logo.

The club was founded in 1967 by collectors from Camberley, Surrey and Crowthorne, Berkshire. We meet at 7.30 p.m. in Camberley at St. Michael's Church Hall, London Road, Camberley, GU15 3JP (at the junction of the A30 with Frimley Road) on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. There a few exceptions at holiday times, no meeting on the 4th Tuesday of July and December and no meetings in August. We also have informal meetings on three Tuesday afternoons in January to March for a bourse and general get together.

Potential new members are always very welcome at any of our meetings.

Meetings are devoted to displays from members or visiting speakers. We have an annual quiz and an annual members' competition.

In April each year we hold a Club Stamp Auction and send out catalogues to collectors, country-wide as well as to local clubs. In 2012 our Auction takes place at our usual venue, the Morgan Centre, Wellington Road, Crowthorne RG45 7LD on Saturday 14th April.

In the 25 or more years that we have run these auctions we have sold some exceptional lots. Our top prices are £2,150 for a stampless Cyprus cover of World War I and £1,000 for a GB First Day Cover (believed unique) of the KGVI Silver Wedding bearing the 2½d and £1 stamp sent registered from Windsor Castle. However there is something for all collectors. For more information get in touch with John Pugh, click Contact Us

A popular feature is the thriving Club Packet. The packet consists of booklets containing priced material from a wide selection of countries. Buyers remove the stamps they want and sign the resulting empty space. Booklets are available for members to sell any stamps they no longer require. The packet is circulated by hand between the members so no postal charges are incurred.

We are happy to accept books for our Packet from non-members but we do prefer new books. However we will take ones that have been circulated to other clubs provided that they still have good content and are accompanied by some completely new books. For more details about the club rules click Club Packet Rules You can email or ring our Packet Secretary, Brian Hammans, see below.

The Club Annual subscription is £10 per annum and is due on the 1st January each year but

if paid by the end Frebruary it is reduced to £8 .

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS VERY WELCOME
